Coralville Chaos to join the American Indoor Football League in 2025

Xtream Arena is getting a new professional tenant.

The Coralville Chaos will join the American Indoor Football League in 2025, one of eight potential franchises.

The team will be officially revealed to the public during a press conference at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28 at its home, Xtream Arena. Speakers include Coralville Mayor Meghann Foster and the team's head coach and cheer coach.

The Chaos will be the second American Indoor Football League team in Iowa, joining the Cedar Rapids River Kings. The league also features two teams in Texas, one team in Georgia and one team in Pennsylvania. Additional teams like the Beaumont Renegades have already announced their intention to participate in the 2025 season but are not listed on the AIF website.

The Choas website lists Dominic Montero and Richard Rodgers as owners of the Chaos.

More information is expected during Thursday's announcement.

The AIF resumed play earlier this month with six teams competing. The season runs from March through June. Cedar Rapids, who joined the league in 2023, is scheduled to play nine games this year. The Riverkings, led by Daron Clark, are currently 1-1.
